Keep the hero video. Lose the bandwidth bill.
A 15MB hero video uses up Premium's 50GB in about 3,300 plays. Flowdrive serves your videos and files from your own domain, with no bandwidth fees. Ever.
Same Chili Piper site. $2,388 a year, or $65,000. The only thing that changed was traffic.
It's the 3rd of the month.
Your client forwards a Webflow invoice with one line: "What's this $150?"
Nothing on the site changed. The launch video just worked. Webflow forgave the first month over the limit. It doesn't forgive the second.
Now it's your name on the question, and it looks like you didn't see it coming.
What's this $150?
- Launch month ForgivenOver the limit. Webflow lets it go, once. 300GB / 50GB
- Month two +$150/moOver again. +250GB is added for you. 300GB / 50GB
- Every month after +$150/moThe add-on stays, for as long as the video works. 300GB / 50GB
Webflow Premium, billed monthly. A site serving 300GB a month. Prices as published, checked 2026-09-28.
Webflow is brilliant at design and CMS. It was never built to serve video.
And its pricing now says so. Bandwidth is the meter, and since May the meter is half the size.
- May 13, 2026 CMS and Business merge into Premium Business sites go from 100GB to Premium's 50GB. CMS sites keep 50GB and pay more for it.
- June 29, 2026 Most existing sites follow At their next renewal. Sites that went over 50GB in the previous two months get add-ons attached.
- November 16, 2026 Freelancer and Agency Workspaces Client sites move over at their next renewal or billing change. This is the one coming.
Every workaround costs something. Usually the brand.
These are the options our customers tried before they found us, and why each one breaks.
Compress it until it fits
The hero video your client paid for starts looking like 2009. Bandwidth drops, and so does the brand.
Embed it from Vimeo or YouTube
Background loops need a paid Vimeo plan on top of Webflow, and the video still streams from Vimeo's domain with Vimeo's player behind it. YouTube adds its own branding and suggestions.
Wire up S3, R2 or Firebase
It works, for whoever set it up. Buckets, CORS, signed URLs and a bill in another dashboard nobody on the design team can open.
Pay the add-on
A tax on success. The better the launch does, the bigger the line on your client’s invoice.
Move to Enterprise
For Chili Piper, that quote was $65,000 a year. The site didn't need anything Enterprise sells, except more bandwidth.
Serve it from Flowdrive
Upload it, place it from the Flowdrive app inside the Designer, and it plays from your client's own domain. No quality loss, no player chrome, no developer, and no bandwidth bill.
Three steps. No developer.

Upload
Drag the file into Flowdrive, or into the Flowdrive app inside the Webflow Designer.
launch-film.mp4 · 184MB - 002
Place it
Select an element in the Designer and click Insert Video in the Flowdrive app. For a looping background, copy the embed code with autoplay, muted and loop on, and drop it into an Embed element.

It plays from their domain
Served from the client's own subdomain. The Webflow bandwidth meter never sees it.
Video bandwidth on Webflow: 0GB
“We found Flowdrive solves a major issue for enterprise-grade Webflow sites: high traffic and bandwidth usage. Instead of upgrading to an Enterprise plan, use Flowdrive.”
Evgenii Tilipman Tilipman DigitalBuilt for the heavy stuff. Leave the icons where they are.
We price by how often files are opened, not how big they are. A 20MB video is a bargain here; a 20KB icon isn't. Here's the honest split.
- Hero and background video Autoplay, loop and no player chrome.
- Long-form and product video Adaptive streaming that holds up on hotel wifi.
- Downloads and PDFs Brochures, press kits, installers, datasets.
- Client uploads over 10MB Webflow's form uploads stop at 10MB. Ours don't, on any plan.
- Gated files Password or rule-based access, from your own domain.
- Icons, logos and UI images
- Blog thumbnails and small photos
- Anything under a few hundred KB
Small files barely touch your bandwidth. Moving them uses up your plan and saves you nothing.
Put in your bandwidth. See the swap.
The add-on Webflow charges you on one side, at its published prices. The fixed Flowdrive plan that replaces it on the other.
Find it in your site's usage page in Webflow. Use your busiest recent month. 1TB = 1,000GB.
On Basic? It includes 10GB, and two months over moves the site to Premium, so these numbers are yours too.
- Bandwidth add-on, +250GB $100
- Basic plan, fixed price $15.83
- Bandwidth fees$0
